Having created 3 dimensional needle felting I began to explore the 2D / flat felting style of work, which allowed more opportunity to use  elements of drawing and painting  

Each piece is formed over many hours  using  a hand held  barbed needle until the fibres and colour combinations blend into the intended form . This process ensures that the end result has a truly "one off" unique face and character.
